Clash of Legends: the Victory Dashboard, stand-by orders, and more

Greetings, commanders,

It has been a busy few weeks. The speed of improvements continue but we are spamming you less.

Here is everything new in Counselor and on clashlegends.com since our last note. Grab the latest Counselor at the bottom, and read on.

New: the Victory Dashboard

A brand-new Victory Dashboard (the target button on the results toolbar) shows, at a glance, how your game is won and how close each side is. It reads the active victory goals and tells you, in plain language, where you can push for a win and where you are at risk.

• Every goal gets a gauge with a blue win zone and an amber defeat zone, plus the exact gap (for example "you 2204, +1397 to win").
• It covers Score, Conquest, Domination, Battle Royale, Supremacy, Capitals, First Blood, King of Kings, the turn-limit standing, and, in Dance of Dragons, Dragonlord.

All your graphs, in one place

The dashboard is now the hub for every chart, and there are new ones:

• Victory Point history now highlights your own nation, draws your side solid and rivals dashed, and has a "% share" toggle to see relative standing across the whole game.
• Nation power comparison - a radar chart pitting you against your key rivals (and, in team games, your strongest ally) across gold, income, cities, troops and characters.
• "What should I grow?" - a coach-style chart of your nation versus the game average, with the levers that matter for this game's victory conditions highlighted.
• Your momentum - a rank-over-time chart showing whether you are climbing or sliding.

Never miss a turn: stand-by orders

• Open a teammate's turn and submit a stand-by set - the Judge runs it only if they don't send their own orders that turn. A safety net so your team never misses a turn. (Both players opt in first, on the website.)
• A new "orders sent?" light in the status bar tells you at a glance whether what you have open matches what the server received (green), has unsent changes (amber), or needs attention.
• Clearer submit confirmations: Counselor now says exactly what happened - a normal submit, one on someone's behalf, or a stand-by set.

Counselor keeps itself current

• One-click updates that actually install. When a newer version is available, the portable and macOS builds install it for you and apply it next launch; others download and reveal it. Updates never restart Counselor on their own, and a failed update rolls back.
• Character portraits update themselves - fresh art (including the Dance of Dragons cast) arrives with one click, or silently if you switch on auto-download in Settings.
• If a crash happens and a newer version exists, the exit message now says so - odds are it is already fixed in the latest build.

Play smarter

• Map Legend - a Legend button on the map toolbar opens a key to every symbol (terrain, settlements, fortifications, ports, armies, fleets, paths and more).
• Safer duels & assassinations - these orders now hide your allies (and your own nation) by default so you can't mistarget a friend. Need a betrayal? Tick ALL.
• Gender column in the characters table, a new "All big cities" filter, and copy & paste everywhere (right-click or Ctrl+C).
• The About box now shows which build you are running.

On the website (clashlegends.com)

• New: Order Statistics (under Statistics) - are you unlucky, or just bold? Roll fairness charts your dice spread against the whole player base with a normal-range band, so a cold streak is easy to see for what it is. And it shows how often your orders succeed, by type (assassinations, thefts, spells and more), this game vs your whole career - separating your characters' skill and target choices from luck.
• Send turn copies to more people - add up to 3 CC addresses per nation on My Games, so a teammate or your second inbox also gets that nation's results and receipts.
• Your game emails in your language - results, welcomes and reminders now follow the language you pick in My Config (English, Portugues, Espanol, Italiano, Catala).
• Control who can submit your orders - No one, your team, or anyone holding your file; enforced at upload, so a betrayal by a supposed ally is one setting away from impossible.
• Lighter results emails - your results email now carries just the EGF by default; turn the full PDF back on any time under My Config at any time.
• Request a multi-nation game at sign-up, a My Counselor Token page to view or reset your upload token.
• Fairer games - new behind-the-scenes fair-play tools give the GM Team a complete view across games to catch multi-accounts and ghost accounts. Play straight and you will never notice.
