Lords and Ladies,
This one is not a feature release. It is two fixes for things that were taking something from you without saying so, and we would rather you heard it from us than worked it out from your turn results.
From build 2.924 until 2.925, Attack Enemy stopped appearing in the Commands list for a commander standing on an enemy army, garrison or navy. Ticking All was the only way to reach it. That is every player, in almost every game, against every enemy, for three days.
A new check meant to hide the order when there is nothing to attack was reading the other nation's view of you, which your Counselor is never sent. So it decided every enemy was a neutral. It now reads your own diplomacy, the same list the Diplomacy tab shows you.
If you gave up on an attack that week because the order would not appear, that is why. Our apologies.
Muster Armies could take the full price in mounts and leather from a city and then raise a handful of troops. One report had three cities each pay for 400 or 500 rangers and receive eight.
The order worked out what each city could raise from that city's stores, then quietly re-checked the number against the stores of the city your commander was standing in, and cut the count without cutting the bill. So a capital briefly short of mounts dragged every city in the muster down with it.
Every city is now measured, capped and charged against its own stores, and the bill always matches the troops that arrive. The player who reported it has had the missing troops added.
Three costs came out of that same fix. This is the heads-up so it is not a surprise in your next turn:
One in your favour: if your nation has a power that lets a city recruit cavalry without spending mounts or leather - your capital, or a city in the desert - that power now works during a muster, in the city it applies to. It never used to.
The Battle Simulator no longer crashes if you change the nation, tactic or filter before you have picked an army.
Full list of changes: the Counselor changelog. The muster fix is on the game server, so it applies to your next turn whether or not you upgrade - but the Battle Simulator fix needs the new build.
Good hunting,
The GM Team
