Hi Team Clarkia,

Thanks for your attention and patience today as we sorted through the approval codes and plant ID assignments.

Please make sure that you attend to the following:

1) Fill out the google calendar with your work schedule for the next two weeks. Please do this as soon as possible (this evening would be good!).  Don't NOT show up for your self-assigned times.  You are welcome to work on the weekends, but you'll need to get the keys to LSB and the lab at the greenhouse.  It is important that you indicate on the google calendar if you are working in the lab on the weekend so that if you are in the lab with the keys, others will know who to call so that you can let them in if they don't arrive with you.

2) Feel free to knock on my office door (4119 LSB) if you ever have a question.  I'm always happy to answer your questions if I'm in my office!  Always!

3) I will be in Tucson, Arizona at a board meeting for the National Phenology Network on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week (January 15-16), but on THURSDAY (January 17) at 5:00 pm, if you can come to a lab meeting in 4307 Life Sciences Bldg., then I wish to touch base with you.  Please schedule this time in your calendar.

4) Bridget will be in the greenhouse tomorrow (Wednesday) from 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm.  If you can help her with the seed collection, that would be fantastic.

5) Tomorrow afternoon, I will update the Clarkia unguiculata seed-preparation protocol that is currently taped to the black tabletop in front of the seeds.  I will tape one revised copy in front of the boxes of Clarkia unguiculata seeds and the other will be posted at the seed-preparation stations.

6) Please keep track of the number of tubes that you have prepared for each of your assigned plant IDs (= the number on the envelopes, labels, and tubes).  I'll ask you to report on your progress each week.

Bryce and Joseph --  As I mentioned in an earlier email, I would like to meet with you tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5:00 - 5:45 pm to show you the seed-preparation procedure for Clarkia unguiculata.  I will also be training two other students (Cameron Hannah-Bick and Ryan Cawdrey) on Monday at 11:00 am.  If you can make it to the Monday meeting time as well, that would be great.  Please meet me in the lab and be on time because I have to leave for my flight to Tucson at 11:40 am sharp!

Best
