HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 29, 2004--Time Warner Cable's
Digital Phone group has selected fiducianet, inc.(TM) as its primary
source for technical assistance to support certain law enforcement
requirements tied to the delivery of residential voice service.
fiducianet will also support Time Warner Cable in the processing of
subpoenas and court orders for record production in connection with
its IP voice business. This relationship achieves another important
milestone for Time Warner Cable's IP voice business by assuring that
its systems meet industry standards for the support of law enforcement
and civil litigants, including CALEA and the USA Patriot ACT.
"When we began our drive to provide telephone service to our cable
subscribers we knew we would bear many of the important
responsibilities associated with providing voice service," said John
Billock, Time Warner Cable Chief Operating Officer. "fiducianet's
service allows us to meet an important part of those responsibilities
in a cost effective manner. The fiducianet team has long experience in
the legal compliance field and a deep understanding of the need to
protect our customers' privacy, while still adhering to the law."
"We are very proud of the Time Warner Cable assignment. They are
one of the emerging VoIP carriers we feel will benefit most from our
services," said Jaswinder (Manji) Matharu, fiducianet Chairman.
fiducianet has customers ranging from large carriers with tens of
millions of customers to small local exchange carriers who have
provided rural telephone service for more than 80 years. "We have been
providing these services since our inception, and continue to do so,
for a number of carriers that span the spectrum of network types in
this country," said Mike Warren, President of fiducianet.
