SAN JOSE, Calif.& NEWCASTLE, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30,
2004--Pramati Technologies, the end-to-end Enterprise Java platform
vendor, has announced it is working with Arjuna Technologies, the
reliable middleware company, to deliver enterprise grade transactional
support to Pramati Server customers.
By automating the failure recovery process, the Arjuna transaction
service (ArjunaTS) will make applications running on Pramati
significantly more reliabile and reduce the need for manual repair
after hardware and network failures.
Integration is available to customers using Pramati Server 3.5
platform with high-end transaction requirements, and in CORBA
environments. "The combination of quality transaction management
coupled with enterprise class features, scalability and performance of
Pramati Server, makes a compelling proposition for small to
medium-sized enterprises from both price and reliability
requirements," says Sathya Narayanan, VP Sales, Pramati.
"Businesses that were attracted to Pramati's rich tool-set and
enterprise-ready features, but have transaction management
requirements that are typically only provided by the expensive BEA and
IBM solutions, now have an attractive cost-effective alternative" said
Arjuna's CEO, Steve Caughey.
Developer organizations writing applications on Pramati Server can
use ArjunaTS for distributed transactional support. This allows
distributed transactions to span application server instances and
multiple heterogeneous data sources.
Arjuna is a leader in research, development, production and
support of transactional systems over twenty years. It released the
world's first commercially-available Java Transaction Service in 1997.
ArjunaTS is the former core engine from the HP and Bluestone
application servers.
