BOSTON, May 10 (UPI) -- Rapper 50 Cent reportedly got into a
shoving match with a fan during the weekend when the fan threw water
on him while he was performing at a Boston club.
The incident occurred early Saturday when 50 Cent was doused
about 10 minutes into his set during an invitation-only hip-hop
concert at the Hippodrome, E! Online reported Monday.
Club owner Michael Barrasso told the Boston Herald the
rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, "removed his gold chain,
handed it to someone on the stage next to him and jumped off the
stage into the crowd."
50 Cent, who was shot nine times in 2000, was carrying a
pellet gun loaded with rubber BB bullets in a Gucci holster, but the
fight didn't escalate beyond pushing and shoving, E! Online noted.
Security guards and police on the scene broke up the scuffle
and pushed 50 Cent and his bodyguards back onstage before calling
for backup to clear the club.
But first the rapper finished the song, Barrasso said, "then
the whole entourage and him just rushed for the exit, got in their
cars and left."
Two men were arrested for disturbing the peace following the
incident, but no charges are pending against the singer.
