LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Danny Rosett has been named president of
United Artists, the specialty film division of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer
Inc., the company said Monday.
Rosett has been running the studio since January, when
Bingham Ray stepped down as UA president. MGM said at the time it
did not plan to replace Ray.
Rosett most recently served as executive vice president of
marketing and distribution for MGM Studios.
Part of his previous duties will now be assumed by David
Bishop, president of MGM's Home Entertainment Group.
Bishop will now oversee MGM's international theatrical
distribution unit.
Rosett will be assisted by Sara Rose, senior vice president
of production and acquisitions.
