United Brownies Unit Enters New Market

SARASOTA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30, 2004--United Companies
Corporation, (OTCBB:UCPJ) announced today that its Brownies Unit has
signed a new Brownie dealer in the Adirondack Mountain region.
The new Brownie dealer will be supplying a state contracted agency
with (8) Brownie's Third Lung CTD390X commercial Hookah systems. In
the heart of the Adirondack Mountain region, a majestic summer tourist
destination for families from across the world lays Saranac Lake. This
lake contains 30 miles of shore line and is the home of thick, fast
growing kelp like weed that fastens itself to the bottom of the lakes
coastline in about 10' of water making it difficult for boats to dock
and people to enter any part of the lake.
The state agency will be charged with the task of removing this
weed from the coastline using the Brownies gear. It is estimated that
once the ice melts on the lake it will take 1 full diving season for
the divers to go around the lake one time. The systems will be mounted
on floating platforms enabling them to easily move about the lake with
supplies. The divers will be working in the water approximately 8
hours a day in wetsuits utilizing Brownie's Power Inflator Kits.
United recently acquired 100% of Trebor Industries, Inc. the
manufacturer of all the Brownies line of products. In the most recent
fiscal year, the Brownies line totaled approximately two and a half
million ($2,500,000) in annual sales.
