Conventus Appoints New Director of Risk Management

WOODBRIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 29, 2004--NIP Management
Company, Attorney-in-Fact for Conventus Inter-Insurance Exchange, is
pleased to announce that Susan Lieberman, MBA, CHRM, has joined the
Conventus management team as Assistant Vice President and Director of
Risk Management. Ms. Lieberman has 26 years of healthcare experience,
with specific expertise in risk management, patient safety and quality
improvement. Conventus is the only medical professional liability
insurer in New Jersey that is both owned and governed by physicians.

Ms. Lieberman comes to NIP and Conventus from AIG Consultants,
Inc., where she served as the national patient safety resource
specialist. Before that she was the National Physician Practice Leader
for Zurich North America, where she developed innovative risk
management programs, products and services for physicians. Prior to
AIG and Zurich, Ms. Lieberman held positions as a risk management
consultant at Princeton Insurance Company and as risk manager for
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she administered a self
insured retention program. Ms. Lieberman has consulted in various
settings, has written for risk management publications, and is a
national speaker.
Ms. Lieberman received a BSN in Nursing from SUNY Downstate
Medical Center and a MBA in Healthcare Administration from CUNY Baruch
College/Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. She is a past president of the
Society for Healthcare Risk Management of NJ, and is a member of the
American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and the Association of
Healthcare Risk Management of NY.
