THINK before you PRINT this e-mail.
Just a pointer from a resident that the reason for works could have been
better explained in the initial communication – also I guess people are
always aware of is the a scam.
Also if contractors could use the intercom if there is no response knocking
on the door I guess.

Subject: A visit from the Nieghbourhood Response Team re changing door
handles
Hello all
Just a quick plea. I recently received a slip of paper from the
Neighbourhood Raspid Response Team about the replacement of door handles
with a manufacturers fault. I hadn't requested this response and so
contacted my neighbours and they then told me that they too had them and
explained why there was a need to replace them. I am glad to have them
done but really it would be helpful in future (should the need arise) for a
notice to go up either on the notice boards in the building or preferably
if a letter is sent out or emailed explaining what this is all about.
I made an appointment as a number was provided and yes, it was then that I
learned about the need but that call should not have been necessary to
explain the reason for the visit. He called and knocked lightly without
using the Intercom and because we had an appointment it was fine and I
opened the door. Meir and others who have visited have not used the
Intercom and the second plea is that they be required to do so as many
tenants with us are deaf and anyone can miss a slight tap on the door, if
you are in the kitchen or on the balcony and expect a workman anytime
between 8 to 12 or 12 to 5, etc.
Thanks
Helen
