I'm posting this from Claranet and it will be visible on both
claranet.test and "outside".

I should have written "in claranet.test on Claranet's servers" as a
few other news services happen to include many of Claranet's groups.
The server where the post is made is important, in these cross-posts
and thus Molly's newsgroup ordering also happens to be important as
Turnpike uses the newsgroup list in choosing the server to post to.
Sorry Anthony, in this one, Molly was right. Peter M.
>I'd be interested to hear a concise summary of the difference
From one of Molly's posts: "Clara drops any cross-posted article
*which was not posted via news.clara.net*. Therefore it matters
which server is used to post."
(where "cross-posted article" is being cross-posted to one of the
claranet.* newsgroups and this group, for example). If posted on
Claranet (as this is, then it will cross-post to claranet.test :)
If posted on Freeserve, it will appear in claranet.test on their
server, but will not be seen on Claranet, except in u.net.p
I'm doing both... posting this on FS and Clara. Peter M
