Re: Louis/Lewis William Grant

I am trying to determine if the records I have for Louis/Lewis William Grant b ~1853 (my gr grandfather) (parents: Richard Grant, trader & Amelia Delanger) are for the same person as Lewis Joseph Grant  b ~1851 (parents Richard Stanislaus Grant & Emilie Lereault de Langie).

He is listed as Louis/Lewis W (Wm, William) Grant on the following records:

Canadian Censuses: 1891, 1901, 1921

Henderson's Winnipeg City Direction, 1897 & 1900  

My research on his first marriage seems to indicate that he married Annie Steele in PEI. I have baptismal records for his 2nd & 3rd children from Summerside PEI. (Richard Joseph/Seymour Grant & Mary Alice Grant) On those records his name is simply Louis Grant.His first wife died in 1911. On Richard Seymour's death certificate his parents are listed as Louis Grant & Annie Steele.

On his Notice of Marriage, Prov of Manitoba for his 2nd marriage to Margaret Elizabeth Ross in 1913 his information is listed as:

Lewis William Grant, shoemaker, widower, age 60, born in Walla Walla Washington, Anglican. Parents: Richard Grant, trader & Amelia Delanger.

The copies of the marriage record that I have is of course hand written. I am wondering if Amelia Delanger is Emilie Lereault de Langie.

Any light that anyone could shed on this would be much appreciated.
