Taanshi kiyawaaw, Hello everyone,

I hope it is okay to make this post. I stumbled upon this group while browsing the web for history on Cuthbert Grant. I am a direct descendant of him through my grandmother, Lorraine (Ella) Allarie nee. Burwash. I am from the Allarie/Henry family of Boggy Creek, Manitoba. Boggy Creek is roughly 30 km away from what is now Togo, SK (Grant's birthplace). I am 21 now and through a combination of university education and family influence have taken a strong interest in the history of not only my own family, but the history of Manitoba and the broader prairies. I do have access to both my paternal grandparents' geneological records and hopefully soon will get to make copies and sit down to do some further research. While I am a bit short for time this morning, I thought I should introduce myself and bookmark this site to come back to on a less busy day. Coming upon this feels like I have stumbled upon a goldmine of insight and history! I hope this thread still has active members, as I appear to have stumbled upon it about 10 years too late.
