Got this message recently from Iain McDonald.  He is one of those guys who has taken time to teach me a few things here and there that have helped out our Grant Project.  He really is an expert (hence him being asked to help with a book) and I'm sure each of you would find something interesting in his book.  So I'm recommending it based upon the author even though I've not yet opened it.

Hi all,
I thought you folks might like to know a bit more about what I've been doing with the last year or so. Part of it has been researching and writing a new book. Normally I wouldn't want to use the forum to advertise, but I hope you'll forgive this exception.
Tracing your ancestors using DNA: A Guide for Family Historians is now available from Amazon in the UK:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tracing-Your-Ancestors-Using-DNA/dp/1526733099/
the UShttps://www.amazon.com/Tracing-Your-Ancestors-Using-DNA-ebook/dp/B07SHHP33G/
and other national Amazon stores.
It's has been published by Pen & Sword, of London, as part of a series on ancestry. I've contributed approximately 14% of the text, so I don't expect to be living the life of J.K. Rowling off the royalties!
Despite my best efforts, it's ended up being more Family Tree DNA -centric than I would have liked, since that's the standpoint that many of the other contributors are coming from. Nevertheless, I offer it as a potentially useful read for some of you starting out. A couple of you I've contacted previously may recognize yourselves in there!
Best wishes,
Iain.

Hope everyone is doing well,

Geoff Grant
