Search for Daniel Grant Ancestors by Elizabeth Louise Kingwell

Hello, My name is Elizabeth Louise Kingwill ne Grant. My father Alfred Edward (B1913) was raised with his twin brother Arthur David Grant and sister Isabelle in Detroit, Michigan. My grandfather David Grant (b. 1871) and his father Daniel Grant were born in Canada. I had hit a wall until Sunday when I think I fount the connection back to Scotland. My Grandfather David had moved from the Buffalo, N.Y. area (where the rest of his family stayed) before he married my Grandmother Isabelle Sheriff, ne Rascoe. She was French and had Voyger relatives in the thumb area. My Grandfather had 8 siblings. He seems to have been the black sheep of the family.
I have a 23andMe DNA report for both myself and my brother, Steven. I don’t know if it can be used to verify any relationships. I can’t find a link to do the Grant clan DNA project.
I just went through your DNA listings and lists. There seems to be a connection with Kit 76847. These are the same names and dates I am finding with a combination of Ancestry and WikiTree.
I have one guess that my Great-grandfather Daniel Grant may have come over with a brother, probably Alexander, to Ontario from Scotland. I have not found passage for him but all the names and dates and marriages seem to fit. His father would have been John, gf Andrew, ggf William, gggf Andrew b. 21 Aug 1698. All living and dying in Moray, Scotland. Alexander and a Daniel B. Grant ended up in Ontario. I would like to know if anyone has any other information about any connection between Alexander and Daniel B. Grant.
Daniel B. Grant’s wife was Isabella Cuthbert Grant b.1837 in Ontario. So there is a Cuthbert relationship but I haven’t gotten that far.
