Hi, my husband descended from William Grant born in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia on December 31,1845.  Deceased Feb 9, 1916. First wife Christine Lord Brown ( no further info) Second wife Alvira Miller, born in Lawrencetown, NS. Jan 25, 1846 Deceased Yarmouth, NS Feb 29, 1921.

We are trying to find out if he was a descendant of John or James who arrived in Nova Scotia via the ship Hector, from Scotland.  Ship arrived in Nova Scotia in 1773. 

We are also jn process of having his DNA completed.
