Thanks for joining Clairemont's online discussion group! Let's use this space to "talk" about our beloved Clairemont...the good, the bad, and the just plain puzzling.

Like, what's the deal with our post office? It looks so shabby! It's always packed with people, so I know they have to be taking in some cash, but not enough to weed the landscaping? Or take down that raggedy old banner on the front?

Do you have a pet peeve, a burning question, or something to ask your fellow Clairemonters?  Post your topic here and let the discussion begin!

Clairemont is AWESOME!  We must all be the chosen ones to be part of the Clairmont community.

To me the community is doing good, the post office could use some fixing up, but the gov't has no $$. Our roads have been paved lately and here n there all much better than a year ago..Home depot is upgrading...the only ugly spot to me is at the end of clairemont drive and denver..been an eye sore for years..if i won the mega lotto i would revamp with a bowling ctr and nice small stores or something...otherwise this is a nice place to live...resident for 26 years..happy to be living here..and no plans to leave...keep up your posts..tom

Lived in Clairemont for over 26 years.  It was a very nice community then, people cared about their lawns, their neighbors, there was pride in the community.  But the majority of the residents in my neighborhood were military families.  They started getting relocated, sold their homes and the new owners didn't care about the upkeep a house needs and the houses started looking trashy.  Moreover, those that couldn't sell, rent their homes and that was even worse.  Druggies moved in the house right across the street from me.  Graffiti started appearing everywhere, fences, sidewalks, buildings, etc.  Just couldn't keep up...it was very sad.  The community, the home that I loved so much was being abused and taken over by vandals, gangs, thieves, you name it.  After a couple of gang shootings close by, I decided this was not a safe neighborhood for me. So I sold my house :( and moved to north county.
