In 2000 I'll move to Japan from Germany. My wife is an
entomologist. I would like to collect some material, which
could make our stay in Japan (ca. 3 years) also more
interesting to her.

I would like to point out a couple of things....
1. One of the best things about Japan is that there is at least one of almost
anything you can imagine. The problem is in finding it. I am sure there are
places such as you seek.
2. Even if you don't find what you're looking for....there are tons of other
very interesting things to see and do here if you go exploring a bit. The only
way a newcomer to Japan could be bored is if he tried to be bored.

your first wife's picture in your second wife's bedroom.
At least it's bad manners."

1. The Meguro Parasitological Museum is good if you have any interest in
the fascinating world of parasites. They have a 9 meter tapeworm.
2. Say, did anyone else see the gay pride parade yesterday?

PS: There are a couple of museums that are dedicated to insects also.
Last not least, Japan seems to be the only nation in the developed world
where people eat a variety of insects... BRRR! Especially in the country
side.
