CKI Leadership Academy at-large applications available

District Administrators have selected participants for the 2010 CKI Leadership Academy, and we are happy to announce there are at-large vacancies for the general membership to apply. Applications for at-large positions will be accepted beginning Monday, April 19.

 

Two important things: You need to complete the attached application form to be considered for one of the vacancies. Send your completed application to Chris Martz via e-mail at cma...@kiwanis.org. Also, you need to be aware that there is $200 registration fee for Leadership Academy. This fee is due once your application is accepted and you are officially invited to register for the Leadership Academy. The fee can be paid via credit card during the online registration process.

 

Here is some general information about Leadership Academy:

 

What: Circle K International is offering its third annual CKI Leadership Academy to at least 64 Circle K members from around the world.

 

Who: At-large spaces are available to any CKI member in good standing. 

 

When: Friday, May 14 through Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Participants must arrive at the Indianapolis airport by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, and may depart after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, if flying. If you are driving, you may depart after 12:30 p.m. Do not book return flights before 3:00 p.m.

 

Where: Waycross Camp & Conference Center in Morgantown, Indiana (www.waycrosscamp.org)

 

Why: An excellent opportunity to participate in a life-changing leadership experience.

 

Cost: The majority of the costs of the program (lodging, meals, and materials) are covered by CKI. There is a $200 registration fee per participant. This fee is non-refundable, but substitutions may be sent to Leadership Academy if the CKI staff is notified by May 5. After May 5, no substitutions will be allowed and the registration fee will not be refunded. The participant provides transportation to and from Indianapolis. Once in Indianapolis, CKI will provide transportation to and from the Indianapolis International Airport. Upon arrival in Indianapolis, there is no additional need for money for anything relating to the Leadership Academy experience.

 

How: Complete the attached application and forward it to Chris Martz via e-mail at cma...@kiwanis.org. You will be notified if your application is accepted. After acceptance, you will be sent an invitation to register online for the Leadership Academy.
