Did you ever feel like you wanted to go on a trip to a international country and do service? Well here is your chance. My lovely District Global Service chair has finally finished the packet for our Global Service trip to... Kenya! The following documents that are attached to this email will explain to you the details about what you would need to do to come join us for our lovely Global Service trip to Kenya this year. If you have any questions about what we are doing or how you yourself can get setup with a global service project please let me know and we can hopefully set you up for a good trip. Just because you are graduating doesn't mean that service stop! I hope all of you are having an amazing new quarter/semester and If I haven't said it Happy New Year!

Hello fellow PNW CKIers!

 

The wait is finally over! Here is the registration packet for the 2011 Global Service Trip to Kisumu, Kenya that will take place from June 22-August 10, 2011! The packet is 12 pages long, but there are only 4 pages that you would actually need to fill out, so don't get overwhelmed! The rest of the packet consists of information on the various projects we will participating in, fundraising ideas, and a basic schedule of events.

 

This packet is the official registration for the trip, so once I receive your paperwork you will become a participant in the Global Service Project! As the departure date grows closer I will be sharing more information about the schedule and such, but for now filling out this paperwork is the only thing you need to do to join the trip.

 

I have also included a document about the DCON Competition Fundraiser for an organization called Nothing But Nets, as well as info on the Project Pins fundraiser. It also includes a list of the requested donation items from the Kiwanis Club of Kisumu, which we will be collecting and bringing to Kenya with us. Please feel free to participate in either or the fundraisers/help gather donations whether or not you plan on joining the Service Trip.

 

If you have any questions about the Global Service Trip or joining the Global Service Committee (act as a liason between your club and myself, help organize fundraisers, etc), please feel free to contact me at any time.
