to cke, text editor for pocket pc
cke has been my favorite (only) editor for quite a while now.
Unfortunately I just broke the screen on my HP 4150. So, while I'm
trying to snipe another one on Ebay, I got out the old trusty HP 3835.
I thought I used cke on it at one time, but it doesn't run now. When I
try to run the cke executable I get this message:

Cannot find 'cke' (or one
of its components). Make
sure the path and filename
are correct and all the
required libraries are
available.

I'm sure this means I'm missing a library somewhere, but I can't
figure out what it is.

thanks for any help,
Nate

There are no required libraries aside the standard ones from the
operative system. It seems as if the link from the init menu to the
program is broken or as cke is not properly installed in your pda.
Check the following:

1. locate the directory where the program is installed using the
explorer and try to launch it directly from there. If it works then
probably the link to the file in the init menu is broken, and you need
simply to create a new link.

If this doesn't work, then probably you should uninstall it and copy
the cab file directly to the device and reinstall from it.

2. Check the operating system, it should be Windows CE 2003 or later.
If it is Windows for PocketPC 2002 then you can try to install the
file CKE2002.zip in the files section of this group.

3. Check the version 0.21 from the web page or the version 0.22
(Cke0.22.zip) from the files section, this last one had a lot of
improvements over the first but also some unpredictable bugs.

Good luck
Esteban
