To reproduce:
Type some text into the editor on one line.
Highlight the last few characters and click the Bold button
- The cursor jumps to the beginning of the line.
Highlight the bolded text and click the Bold button to remove the style
- The cursor jumps to the beginning of the line.

I was not able to reproduce the issue.
Could you tell me what Operating System and which version of Opera are you
using?
Could you provide me with more detailed scenario here? Perhaps this is
some special case which requires exact stpes to be followed.

Highlight with what mouse or keyboard?
last few means the very last few or some characters at the and but not
last one?

Apologies, my description wasn't entirely correct:
This is the report we had.

Type a string of text. Using the mouse highlight a portion of it. Click
the B button to make bold. Move cursor via mouse to the end of the line
and then hit B again - this makes the cursor jump to the beginning of the
line.

3. Select "Test" with a mouse
4. Click bold button
5. Place (with a mouse) cursor at the end of text {{{myTest^}}}
6. Click bold button
**Result:** Cursor jumps back to the beginning of the line.
