Where is the gui?

It seems like this is so obvious to everyone, but I have apparently successfully installed ckb-next on Ubuntu 19.04 and there is no gui. I have not seen a gui anywhere, I can't find anything that would start up a gui, I can't understand why this isn't in any readme on the github page. Can someone please help me just launch the gui??

Log out and back in. If you still don't see an entry, run ckb-next in a terminal

thank you very much! the trick is to run ckb-next in the terminal. I have no idea how you found this out since it is not written anywhere
