Please forgive me for entering at such a basic level, but I am totally new to using a Corsair K70 RGB Mark 2 keyboard with ckb-next. Although I do have some experience with UNIX.

Where can I find a list of simple macros with can be assigned to F1 - F12 keys?

I'm thinking of things like "quit", "copy", "paste".

I have managed to get some "open" commands to execute using: "open /Applications/Safari.app"

There must be a syntax for this kind of thing, but I have yet to find it.

Thanks for any assistance anyone can offer.

Bill

You need to use macros for these.
On the binding tab, select the key you want to bind the macro to, then switch to the macro tab.

Click record, then type the key combination required to do the action you want on your corsair keyboard.
For example copy would be Command - C. If I'm not mistaken by default command is bound to the windows key.

Once you do that, click stop and then apply.

Now when you press the key you bound the macro to, it should instead "press" Command - C, which would copy what you have selected.

Thanks Tasos

When I assigned the F9 key, and recorded the macro it came out like this:

lalt,+c,-lalt,-c

But when I ran the macro is does nothing.

Please note the lalt key has been used because I’ve switched lwin with lalt (command & option in Mac language).

Any suggestions?

Try pasting `+lalt,+c,-c,-lalt` in the Macro Key Actions box, leaving everything else blank, and click apply.

See if this works instead.
If not, perhaps you can find some utility that shows keystrokes on macOS, so that it shows if any key events at all are being received by applications.
