Unable to record macros on K95 RGB High Sierra

I have a K95 RGB and am trying to record macros, both in the CKB interface and with the macro buttons on the KB.  So far, nothing works.  The software records the keystrokes I want with the windows names for the keys, not the mac names.  The control, windows, and alt keys are remapped by default as part of ckb-next, I don't have special key mapping altered in system preferences.  When I save the macro for cmd + c (copy), it does nothing when I use the macro but of course the actual keys work.  I didn't have much of a choice to switch to Mac for my work computer and I'd love to keep my Corsair KBs (no one else offers the simplicity AND macro keys).

Any advice for getting the macro keys to work?

Please see https://github.com/ckb-next/ckb-next/issues/348 for answers to this mapping question.  I wasn't ignoring the key mappings when I made macros and I tried to record them which is why things weren't working.
