How to distinguish between core and external extensions?

Hi,

By the Docs CKAN has core and external extensions. The main registry looks impressive, but with are "core"? Marked as "by CKAN"? (In deprecated registry it was clear.)

It would be nice to have a git repository name as link in the list of extensions.

BTW: I hope extension is used as synonym of plugin.
