osCMax + CK-ERP Demo

I have just set up a osCMax v.2.0 RC3 + CK-ERP 0.22.1 demo at
http://ck-erp.net/oscmax/catalog/admin/login.php .
Although osCMax is pretty much the same as osCommerce with a lot of
standard contributions added, this demo is running with a specific
connector tailored for osCMax.
Oh. Before I go any further, the development of the osCMax connector is
very much prompted by David Raovanovic's observation on two shortcomings
of the current osCommerce connector. His contribution in highlighting
the two problems is greatly appreciated.
The two shortcomings are,
a) Because of the large number of Admin_access contributions, the
present osCommerce connector would not necessarily work with all
combinations of (osCommerce + Admin_acess v.??.??). So, the solution is
to work with osCMax which standardizes on one version of Admin_access.
b) If the osCommerce scripts are not housed in a ..../(osCommerce
root)/catalog/admin/... structure, the current osCommerce connector
will again fail. While developing the osCMax connector, I have tested a
situation where the osCMax script is housed within ..../(osCMax
root)/admin/... and CK-ERP + osCMax works fine in this case.
For osCommerce + CK-ERP users, please note that with the development of
the osCMax connector, a logical follow-on could be the scrapping of the
osCommerce connector. It all depends on how osCommerce vs osCMax
develops, especially regarding osCommerce 3.0 . For the moment, in the
next CK-ERP release, the osCommerce connector will be updated in the
osCMax connector fashion to eliminate problem b) .
