"December 7, Friday, 6:30pm, Palestine / Israel Today - Understanding the Reality, Sr. Jan Cebula, OSF, is a former member of Holy Family Catholic Worker House (1984 - 2004), living in the community for the first ten years. Jan has just returned from an Interfaith Peace-Builders delegation study tour of Palestine/Israel. The delegation focused on the Palestinian olive harvest which takes place each Autumn. Jan and her 31 companions witnessed the everyday violence of occupation and learned from those committed to nonviolent struggle, human rights and peace with justice. They sought to reach deeper to uncover the roots of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and explore avenues for justice and change.
