4. Children’s Convention – May 10, 2014
Our Annual Children’s Convention will be held at Camp Verley, St. Catherine, on Sabbath, May 10, beginning at 9a.m.– 5p.m. The event is a full day’s programme and we are inviting the children to come. It’s your convocation, we are also encouraging the parents to make the necessary lunch preparation for yourself and your children and accompany them as we worship and fellowship together. The theme for the day is “Mountain-Movers: Kids on a Mission”.
5. IICM Training, St. Catherine
International Institute of Christian Ministries Training for St. Catherine will be on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Family of God SDA Church. All participants are to be in attendance.
6. Camp Officers’ Training – Rescheduled – May 25, 2014
The Camp Officers’ Training planned for Sunday, April 27th has been re-scheduled for Sunday, May 25th at Willowdene Group of Schools beginning at 9a.m.–1:00p.m. We extend a special invitation to willing, committed and dedicated teachers, students over age 19, parents and guardians who are desirous of volunteering two or three weeks out of their summer vacation to assist us at camp. We are seeking persons with special skills to assist us in such areas as craft, life and technical skills and character development. All persons desirous of serving must submit a recommendation from their pastor and must also complete the volunteer form provided by the Youth Department.
7. Volunteer Counsellors Program
If you are a Trained Family Counsellor, Psychologist, Therapist, Probation Officer, Social Worker, Guidance Counsellor, Family Life Educator or an indirect- family related professional such as: Teacher, Nurse, Medical Doctor, Lawyer or still, you might be a family-interest related non-professional such as Church Family Minister Leader, Church Leader, or Church Family Life Committee Member, please call the Counselling Services Department at 984-2792 or the Director at 527-4605 to join the join the Volunteer Counsellors team. Kindly complete and return the Volunteer Counsellor Application Form ASAP and listen out for a Special Orientation Meeting to be arranged.
8. Men’s Convention 2014
All men plan to be at Men’s Convention 2014, June 21-22. See the attached information for more details.

· Notice of St. Catherine PAC AGM – May 11, 2014:- The Annual General Meeting of the St Catherine Parish Action Committee will be held on Sunday May 11, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in the Boardroom of the Central Jamaica Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists. Pastors are reminded that each District should have two (2) delegates present. Individuals who are interested in serving as part of the St. Catherine Parish Action Committee are especially asked to attend as we seek to elect willing and available servants for the Master. See attached letter for details.
