 Please note the following reminders for the local churches:

1. Thanksgiving Service for Pastor Grover Hyatt:

The Thanksgiving Service for Pastor Grover Hyatt is planned for Sunday August 24, 2014 at the Spanish Town Church, starting at 11am. As of Monday, August 18, a book will be placed at the Conference Office’s front desk in which persons can express their sympathies to the Hyatt’s family

 

2. Sports Day Cancelled:

Please note that the Youth and Elders’ Conference wide Sports Day planned for Sunday, August 24, 2014 has been cancelled in light of the Thanksgiving Service for Pastor Grover Hyatt

 

3. Consultation Meeting with First Elders, Federation and Association Officers:

All First Elders, Federation and Association Officers are invited to join the Conference Administrators, Directors, Pastors and Executive Committee members in a special consultation meeting on plans for the 2014 – 2018 quadrennium at the Maranatha Church, Manchester at 3:30 pm.

 

4. Medical Missionary Training - August 18

As we seek to educate our brethren on the importance of a wholistic lifestyle, there will be a Medical Missionary Training beginning, Monday, August 18 at the Family of God SDA Church. All interested persons may contact Dr. Joan Lamle, Medical Missionary Coordinator for St. Catherine, at 893-5430 for further information.

 

5. Meeting with All Medical Missionaries - St. Catherine

All Medical Missionaries trained in St. Catherine are being asked to attend a very important meeting on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Clifton SDA Church beginning at 9:30 a.m. with Dr. Joan Lamle.

5. Counselling: Wednesdays by appointment
6. Immunization for Adults: as is necessary are available as is necessary

4. JAMU Health Summit, August 14-17, 2014: Attached is a document providing information on the up-coming JAMU Health Summit, August 14-17, 2014. Kindly share the information with all interested persons—noting that:
1. Thursday, August 14, 2014—will be for Field & Institutions Leaders and Health Ministries Directors at the Union Office
2. Friday (Vespers) & Sabbath, August 15-16, 2014—will be for the general membership and all interested persons at the Mandeville Church
3. Sunday, August 17, 2014—for Adventist Health Professionals and others (Venue: East Jamaica Conference) –Registration Fee $2,000/person— Registration Form attached. Contact the EJC Health Ministries Dept to register.
