Please note the following reminders for the local churches:
1. Revival and Reformation Council
Notice is hereby given of the 1st Revival and Reformation Council of the Central Jamaica Conference to commence at 4:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the following venues:
- Willowdene Group of Schools, Spanish Town, Saint Catherine to be held on June 1, 2013
- Victor Dixon High, Mandeville, Manchester to be held on June 8, 2013
- May Pen High, May Pen, Clarendon to be held on June 22, 2013
All Conference Executive Committee members, Conference Directors, Local Pastors, Local Church First Elders, Federation Executive Officers, Elders Association Officers, and Parish Action Committee Executive Officers are invited to this council. See the attached for further details.
2. Women's Emphasis Day - June 8, 2013
The Women's Ministries Department once again celebrates Women's Ministries Emphasis Day on Sabbath, June 8, 2013. We ask that you make every effort to make this day a special one in the lives of our women within Central Jamaica Conference. Kindly see attached material including a sermon that you may utilize for the entire day's programme.
3. Connect 2013 – June 9-16, 3013
The CJC annual interactive online bible programme – Connect 2013 will come on stream June 6 – 19, 2013, nightly 8 – 9 pm. The event will be broadcast from the studios of NCU Media in Mandeville and will feature soloists and groups from the parish of Manchester. You are invited to make this event a local one by organizing your young people and church to view as small group or church event. It will be aired on Conference website, NCU TV and NCU Radio.
4. CJC International Institute of
Christian Ministries (IICM) Training, Sunday, June 9, 2013
The next training for the CJC IICM will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at the
Family of God SDA Church at 9:00 AM. Interested persons who have not signed up
for the training may sign up for the programme and submit their registration
forms.
5. Parish Colporteur Training for New Recruits – June 9, 2013
Central Jamaica Conference Publishing Ministry will be conducting Colporteur
Training in each parish to train new Colporteurs. The first one will be at
Breaton S.D.A Church in Portmore on Sunday, June 9,
2013 from 9:30am to 1:00pm. All interested persons in this ministry must be in
attendance.
6. NOW Ambassadors Call to Action – June 9 - 16, 2013
NOW (Network of Online Witnesses) Ambassadors needed to impact social media for Christ before and during the Connect 2013 programme, June 9 – 16, 2013. We want all members to engage in sharing this online interactive bible series with their friends and family via text message and social media. For more information see the attached letter or contact the Communication Department.
7. Vision One Million Convention,
Blackwoods SDA Church, Sabbath, June 15,
2013
The Central Jamaica Conference will be hosting its Vision One Million
Convention at the Blackwoods Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath, June 15,
2013. Churches in the Tollgate, Denbigh, May Pen and Halse Hall District of
Churches are invited to attend and support our brothers and sisters at the
Blackwoods SDA Church.
8. Summer Youth Camp Officers’ Training
The Youth Department is in the recruitment process for Camp Officers and invite you to recommend committed and dedicated persons who will commit two or three weeks out of their summer vacation to assist us at summer camp. We are seeking persons with special skills to assist us in such areas as craft, life and technical skills and character development. Please ensure those recommended are mature persons of good integrity and have an understanding how to relate to youths of all ages.
9. Youth Summer Camp – July 16 – August 6, 2013
It’s summer and the anticipation of Youth Camp is in the air. This, as other years, the Youth Department will be hosting Summer Camp under the theme, GENERATION ‘I’-INSPIRED. The Camp dates are as follows:
- Teen Camp (age 13-16) July 16 - 23, 2013
- Junior Camp (age 7–12 years) July 23 - 30, 2013
- Senior Camp (age 17 & Over) July 30 – August 6, 2013
Please complete the application form attached, and return it with the fee to the Conference Office on or before Monday, June, 24, 2013 so the necessary preparation can be made for the Camp. Registration begins at 12 O’ Clock for each camp and the cost is Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00). 10. CJC Adventist Business Listing

12. CJC Adventist Original Song Talent Expo 2013
It is time for you to prepare your original songs for selection for CJC Adventist Original Song Talent Expo 2013. Auditions will be held by parish in September.
Institution Announcements
· Masters in Education and Leadership Offering - Northern Caribbean University at the Willowdene Group of Schools – NCU in partnership with the Willowdene Group of Schools is seeking 25 individuals to begin the cohort of Masters in Education and Leadership individuals to be trained in Spanish Town starting September 2013. Interested persons can contact the principal of WGS for further details.
· Manchester Youth Federation Bible Boom – June - The Manchester Adventist Youth Federation (MAYFed) presents Bible Boom Parish Finals 2013. An initiative of the Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists.
o Where: Berry Hill S.D.A. Church, Manchester
o When: Sabbath July 20, 2013 at 3:30pm
We invite all Adventist youth in Manchester to join us for this spectacular program. This event will be the culmination of all Bible Boom activities in the parish. The program will invite one representative from each District for each category (Junior 15 and under and Senior 16 - 35). The district participants will be quizzed on the books they have been reading since the start of the year. Juniors: Philemon and Philippians; and Seniors: Ephesians to Hebrews. Special incentives await ALL participants. The winner will emerge as Manchester's representative for the next round.
