Hi there, I wonder if someone can help me research this text. I'm trying to find out the date of the text and any useful info that I can use to explain a little more about this work. I don't read Japanese so I'm finding it a bit hard to navigate the site (but it looks like an excellent database of work!).

Hello Lee,

I guess  "Chu Yuan" and "Shan ben" are Chinese readings of  樗園 and 杉本 respectively. 杉本樗園 (a.k.a.  杉本宗春院 or 杉本) is a Japanese physician or medical officer in late 18th -- early 19th century.
