The United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC) has made $52 billionavailable today, which was approved for payment by the governing council. As of January 2021, approximately $50 billion of this total had been paid to claimants. The commission concluded claims processing in 2021, and the total compensation awarded was $50 billion to approximately 15 million successful claimants.
