"BUILDINGS OF FUTURE-CHALLENGES AND INNOVATION"

About Lecture:
Discussion will be on the challenges that face the buildings of future. Housing is a central concern of our societies due to energy and environmental issues. We will show that solutions to meet these challenges cover all aspects of design and construction of buildings. We will describe the relationship between materials and functions. Discussion among other things related to building energy efficiency, better fossil fuels, use of renewable energy(including photovoltaic) and evolution if lightening.

About Speaker:
Didier Eoux was born in 1955. A former student of the ENS de Saint-Cloud, he was a member of the CNRS from 1980 to 2005. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honors.He holds the silver medal of the CNRS. He created two start-ups in 1994 and 1998, and he was the Deputy Scientific Director of Rhone Poulenc and Rhodia between 1997 and 2005. From June 1,2005 he is the R&D and Innovation Vice President of Saint-Gobain. He is the member of Institut de France and a member of National Academy of Technologies of France(NATF)
