Hello all,

This mail is for clarification of doubts regarding the annual membership fee. We had brought many changes in the organizational & functional part of CEA this year revamping the structure. I will brief out them first.

1. Introduced high quality lecture series from each sub-division with at least one lecture per month.(Lectures concluded: Burj Dubai Construction(23rd August) & IGBC student chapter launch and Case studies on ITC and Anna Centenary Library(20th September) Upcoming Lectures: On Buildings of future(27th September) & Lecture on tensegrity tower construction(25th October))
2. Increasing the faculty-student interaction(Event: Teachers day celebration(5th September) & Career Orientation fundae session(26th September) 
3. Divisional projects with big project from every sub-division.(Confirmed:Structural-Tensegrity tower, BTCM-Concrete Canoe)
4. Transparency of each and every rupee being spent.(Method:All financial details will be uploaded on site, www.ceaiitm.org. Please create an account and login to find a tab CEA Finances. I will be updated in one or tow days with all the transactions done till now.
5. A new initiative for well advancement of students - FCFC (Details will be announced shortly)

Other than the mentioned above, we have many other new activities which will be announced shortly. To give a sign of it for example, we are now contacting ITC Grand chola for having a visit to the hotel to showcase of their Green Building Features shortly.

In this manner we have planned many activities, all the money collected will be used only for our students activities(no penny will be spent for CEA Fest from this amount, it will be run on sponsorship money). We are lagging behind in extra and co-curicular activities, So to do all the activities planned after discussion with HoD sir we came up with this. So kindly cooperate and make the full use of activities planned)

Deadline for payment: 28th September. Make the payment to any of the representatives.

Greetings from Civil Engineering Association(CEA), IIT Madras.

CEA 2013-14 kick started grandly this year with wide range of activities and fun.

We had organized various events over the past two months. Hope those were informative.

This is regarding the CEA Membership Drive. For organizing the activities we collect a membership fee of 200 rupees from all the students of the department, out of which each and every rupee will be used for welfare of student community.

Please find the letter regarding the same from our HOD sir. It is Mandatory for each and every student of the department. Money can be given to the CEA Representatives, whose details will be posted shortly. Please cooperate with us towards the same.
