Inspiration Session on Higher Studies and Benefits of Teaching/Research Career

Dear final year DD, M.Tech, B.Tech, and M.S. students,

• Are you clear on your mind on what you will be doing in future?
• Are you sure you have chosen the right path?
• Have you explored your capability as a teacher/researcher?
• Can you clearly say that I don't want a career in teaching/research and need something else?
• Is your current choice driven by just the immediate money and influence from parents/peers and others?
• What are the benefits of teaching/research career in civil engineering?
• What kind of work a faculty at an IIT can do or is doing?  Is it only teaching/research; or does it include consultancy also? 
• What are the salary ranges of faculty members in IITs, NITs and other premier research organizations such as CSIR laboratories?
• What is the chance of me getting an industry job (in civil) after higher studies?

If you feel any of these questions are relevant for you, then this session is definitely for you.  If you have a different question, then please bring that to the session.

We request you to spend, rather "INVEST", just an hour or two with about 10 of our senior faculty members, who are ready to clear off all your doubts regarding the current unpopular choice of higher studies and a teaching/research career thereafter.  More importantly, they will be sharing the benefits of such a career in India, especially in the years to come.

Who Can attend: All Final Year B.Tech, DD, M.Tech, and M.S. Students

P.S. This session is being organised for the benefit of you. All faculty members are spending their precious 1-2 hours for us. Some, hope you won't dissapoint them with lazy absents.
