Like previous years the awards would be given to the best three final year UG (B. Tech.) projects to be completed by May 2017. Modalities for nomination and selection of award is given below. The application format is attached separately.

Modality for Nomination and Selection of Best UG Project Award

1. Nomination

• The interested students will nominate themselves for the award in the prescribed format.
• The application will be duly recommended by the supervisor
• If any project is undertaken by more than one student all students should apply in one form and that application will be considered as one single nomination

2. Primary Selection

• A committee comprising faculty members of the department will screen/short-list the
• applications.
• The Committee will select maximum 10 nominations.

3. Final Selection

• The final selection will be done by a committee comprising external experts.
• The final selection committee will evaluate the projects based on the content of the project and seminar presentation by the students.
• Every nominated project must be presented by the respective student(s) before the committee for being considered for the award.
• Best three projects will be awarded.
• The committee may, however, decide that no award would be given, if no project of satisfactory quality is found.

4. The Important dates regarding primary selection and final selection and award ceremony:

The last dates of submission of application from the students and the seminar presentation of the short listed projects will be notified later. However, these dates will be after the final semester examination.

The revised last date of nomination is 23.05.2018 at 3.00 pm and the  applications which will be nominated for final selection  will be intimated on 24.05.2018 at 11.00 pm. All other points mentioned in the "Modality for Nomination and Selection of Best UG Project Award" circulated earlier including date of seminar presentation, will remain unaltered.
