 This mail is regarding internship offers from our distinguished alumni.

 As a core team member of SARC( Student Alumni Relation Cell), i m in regular contact with them, and asked for the internship opportunities in their companies.

 

Currently i m in contact with the following people, and will be meeting with them soon regarding Other details of the internship.

2) ITD Cementation India Limited, Mumbai
    will be meeting on Thursday or Friday-30th Apr or 1st May

    Work will be on Site

3) Gujarat Ambuja Cement Limited, Mumbai
    will be meeting on wednesday-29th apr
    interested to take two people, asked only for hardworking and sincere students
 
4) Sterling Engineering Cosultancy, Bangalore
    Waiting for Reply of HR otherwise will be calling on wednesday ( 28th apr)

5) Gensys Technology Pvt Limited
    No of student (intern) required = 1

    Department Civil Engg. (preferably Structures students)
    Duration of work and training : 2 months (may and june 09)
    Place of work is:  Pune (University Area)

 
They are interested in taking people who are willing to work sincerely ( if not hard ), so Apply only if u r interested in working and learning through these interns. Please try not

Internship duration can be 2 months and more

Work: Student must be interested  in Concreate ( Punchh lo kisi se agar tumhe koi idea nahin hai to)
 there will be lab and site work too, Research type

Place of Work: Andheri East ( J.B .Nagar)

Timing: Weekdays 9am to 6pm (very very strict about timing) ; Sat and Sun holidays

No of Student: Max 2 n Min 1

Stipend: Rs 5000 per month

He needs:
Dept NOC certificate of Selected Person

Student Letter that he wants to work in Ambuja Cement.( I will give the format to the selected student)

Project to be submitted at the end of Intern

He wants only sincere student who are willing to learn Because

He has recommended a grp of 40 students of IIT B to the companies for internship, and all promised to do the intership but only 2 of them turned up for internship this has pissed him off. that's y he is taking only two this yr.
but he is willing to help us if students are interseted in specifice area of work, He can recommend to the companies of his contact.

Plss junta only interested and sincere junta apply for this (and also CPI is not the criteria for his selection)

He will mail me the names of selected students on Sunday and they have to report in Office on Monday.

Hello Junta,

Sterling Consultancy Mumbai ( a civil engineering structural consultancy) is offering internship to students of iitb students courtesy a alumni of iit bombay there..
The preferred students are those having interest in Structural.

Place of work is
1. Church Gate
2. Bandra East
3. Bandra West

Specify ur preferred place of work (priority in case u can work at all 3)

The intern will start from 15th may and extend till 15th july.

i got a mail from Gensys today, there is a good news also a bad one

Gensys internship Details:

1) Good news: Now they are giving stipend of Rs.5000 per month

2) Ongoing project : structural design & project management

3) Knowledge of STAAD Pro software is preferred

4) Complete 2 months without break

5) The student shall preferably have laptop

2) Bad News: No accomodation but u can get acco in a hostel nearby to their office. Hostel Name- Firodiya

I have already send three resume on preference basis, can send again if anyone shows interest..

I talked to alumnus of Sterling Bangalore today.
He is a very good guy, i talked to him earlier also during IITB golden jubilee closing ceremony.
He is interested in taking one student in Sterling bangalore.
He will be giving good stipend ( i dont know how much but he assured that stipend will be enough for you) but no accomodation.

preferred for one who can accommodate himself in banglore with his relative or with his friend who is already there ( on sharing basis).

Sites are out of mumbai and all over india ( can send you any where)
will provide accomodation and travelling allowance
Messing will be provided bt money will be compensated

IMP: not necessary that all of you going together and have to work under 40-45 degree centigrade temperature.

SMC Infrastructure Updates.

I went to his office today  in Thane
He is interested in taking 2-3 students ( can increase also bt not so sure)
He told me that he doesn't need student for internship because 3rd yr student cannot help them anyway
but if we want to gain some experience by working on site then he is ready to take.
and can start from 13th May
Site location is : Overbridge at Thane Market
other site is at 15km from thane which is of some water treatment plant type project, Its a huge project.

Abt Stipend: he told me that the student who wil be doing internship will have to talk to the Site manager (Sameer Phansay) by  himself.I have contact no of this guy.

This project of Thane is about to complete and it's completion date is at the end of june.

Interested student please reply to me once.

@ all waiting student: there is big time possibility that m not going to bring intern for all of you
    So you can also talk to Jyoti Prakash through Anand Barot and Mohit.

ITD Updates

They are taking only two students only those who were determined to go from the beginning. i.e the first mail which i have sent them. All of you were waiting for other companies result like sterling mumbai and bangalore.etc
and nobody replied in time.
i have sent about myself and Chetan prakash in first mail and also told them to wait for three more students.
but finally they have decided to take only two. SORRY RAHEGA yaar...

I am leaving bombay on 20th May will finalize abt SMC Infrastructure before that...

Jinka bhi nahi  laga, i hope u will understand the situation, feeling sorry for them

prof juneja offered me an intern under our cs 101 prof Milind sohani
under CTARA http://www.cse.iitb.ac.in/~ctara/

its an earthen dam for which various prof of our dep and IITB are working....
Prof milind sohani will be giving some stipend too .......

the dam actually is suffering through seepage and probably 4 bore
holes will be made to analyze the soil.....you need to make an report
on the soil properties also.

if anyone is interested in this project , directly mail/contact prof
milind sohani and dont use the above info in ur mail....its a general
idea and may be erroneous.
