Hi all,

We're going to delay the release this week until tomorrow. While normally we might skip a release if it's this delayed, we have a fix for the issue I sent out to civiform-technical on Monday, where some prod instances from v2.33.0 to v2.36.0 could end up getting into a state where the server stopped responding. We have root caused it and are implementing a fix now, and will run tests tonight in order to be able to release tomorrow.  The problem turned out to be a thread starvation condition that was exacerbated by some recent changes we made to implement session timeouts.  If you'd like to see the nitty gritty details, the fix is in https://github.com/civiform/civiform/pull/10327.

As always, feel free to ping me or #eng-general if you have any questions!

Unfortunately, it turns out the fix we implemented today didn't sufficiently fix the issue.  We're going to cancel the release this week and keep pushing towards a permanent solution for next week.
