Friends,

With planning for the annual Frontiers of Democracy Conference underway, alumni of the Summer Institute of Civic Studies are invited to help organize sessions focused on Civic Studies topics.

This year, Frontiers will take place from June 25-27.

As in years past, the alumni planning group will organize up to three interactive sessions aimed at a mix of practitioners and scholars. Alumni are also encouraged to suggest plenary speakers.

If you are interested in joining the planning group, please respond to this email and let me know your general preferences for meeting times (eg, morning/evening, weekday/weekend). I’d like to have an initial planning call in the next two weeks.

Either way, I look forward to another thoughtful, inspiring, and fun-filled Frontiers and I hope to see you there!

Also, the Summer Institute is now accepting applicants for 2015. Be sure to pass on the information to anyone you think would be a good fit: http://activecitizen.tufts.edu/civic-studies/summer-institute/

Stay warm,

Sarah

Hi Sarah,

Wouldn't miss the highlight of the conference year! :-)  I'd be interested in joining the planning group.  I don't have a consistent preference as to time of day (schedule varies across the week), but obviously prefer times after 11am EST.  Also prefer weekdays over weekends.

Excited for our next Frontiers!

Hi Sarah. have you invited FairVote in the past?   A few communities in Maryland have lowered the voting age to 16 for local elections, and they've done good work in other areas as well.  Perhaps they've already been involved in other Frontiers conferences.

Best,
Katharine

Hello Sarah and other Civic Studies group members!

I would be interested in being part of this planning group. Best times for me for a conference call are after 12N CST on any day but Thursday. Look forward to learning from you all!
