Minutes January 26 Meeting

Hi everyone,

Here are the Wednesday's meeting's minutes. Please take two minutes to
read them and let's discuss the next steps online.

I would suggest a meeting in two weeks - we could work a bit more on
the framework and start talking about more concrete actions.

Thanks for the minutes, Simon! Looks like a productive meeting. Sorry
that I couldn't make it. I've recovered from the cold and should be
fit for the next meeting :-)

As an add-on to the discussion, here are my two cents on the
questions:

Why did you join this group?
- My passion is community and creating communities. Non-car
transportation enhances community building because people interact
much more with others. I would like to see a higher share on cycling,
walking and transit.

What are the top 3 things that interest/concern you about
transportation in Calgary?
- Too many cars in downtown that impact air quality and make riding
your bike difficult
- Would like to see more bike lanes throughout the city that make
cycling easier and safer

As an idea to get an overview of what is already happening in the city
it might be useful to start a list with all transportation related
organizations in town and what they are doing. I can provide a list of
transportation events in Calgary and area.

Hi Kathryn,

Is it working now? I just shared the file with the whole group. I'm
not quite sure how this thing works. Unfortunately, it's not possible
to upload files on Google Groups anymore, we have to use Google Docs.
