Way of mocking requests

Hello,

I work on an application (cppMicroservices[1]) which uses CivetWeb as webserver. To test some code, i would like to simulate requests in an automatic way. I would like to avoid the overhead of adding a http client library (curl or something like), i wonder if it is possible to "mock" the input connection using known and hard coded data.
