I like the quote from Barker in the Friendswood Journal about funding
for streets.
"I don't know where we're going to get the money to do this after this
latest fiasco," Barker said.
Councilman Barker aptly described Council's last several months - A
FIASCO. Yet, he voted for the CIP which specifically states projects
would be paid for with CO's and he voted for and negotiated the Alvin
Park deal eventhough the City had no money for streets. Now, all of a
sudden, it dawns on Council that there is no money. Do we want the
people that created the fiasco making any other "deals"?
