Who is been protected and what risk does the citizens face if these documents are released?

First, we are told City Council does not want to let anyone know what properties it is looking to buy because the price would escalate. Second, City Council reveived a ruling from the AG regarding the release of documents under the Open Records Act. Third, City Council may or is now filing a lawsuit in order to appeal the AG ruling.

More wasted tax payers' monies!

Government through secrecy has always been bad and citizens always end up losing. This is how Hitler and other tyrants came into power without much notice.

I am not calling anyone on the Friendswood City Council a Hitler or a tyrant, I am just trying to say that goverment should be open at all levels, except when national security is at risk. This Friendswood issue certainly does not place our nation in any risk!

I don't think that releasing these documents to the public would affect
ANYTHING, except maybe the individual councilmembers, themselves.
What happened to the statement that the Mayor made at his townhall meeting
about whatever the AG and the Court ruled, that would be the end of the
matter?

Aren't there more important things for the council to focus (and spend
money)on like roads and infrastructure, rather than padding the pockets of
Olsen and Olsen?

They need to just confess to there mistakes and try to move on (but that
would take courage and integrety).

I'm tired of it.
