Denver’s SIP will serve as a roadmap for repairing and widening the existing sidewalks, as well as building missing sidewalks to create a sidewalk network that is safe and usable for people with different needs and abilities. The SIP will answer the question of “how” the Sidewalk Program will reach its goal of completing the sidewalk network, both short- and long-term. The purpose of the plan is to:
Create a prioritization framework for delivering sidewalks that meets the City’s and the public’s transportation goals. Create work plans for sidewalk construction, reconstruction, and repair across the city with a more detailed focus on what will be constructed in the next 6 years. Establish a long-term roadmap for a successful program that delivers new and improved sidewalks in Denver. Why does this matter for HOAs and RNOs?
Home Owners Associations and Registered Neighborhood Organizations play a critical role in shaping vibrant, accessible neighborhoods. Sidewalks are essential for mobility, economic vitality, and safety. We want to ensure your voice is heard as we shape this plan and engage stakeholders to learn about the Sidewalk Program and the SIP.If you have any questions about the program, SIP or the webinar, please feel free to respond to this email. Thanks,
Sidewalk Team
