Bikeway Signage Installation Guidelines

Hello,

I brought up this issue previously with specific bikeways, but I feel as though I've observed enough issues around Denver that it needs to be addressed systemically. 

In short, we need to audit the Bikeway Signage Installations and perhaps adjust the process itself.

Here's a video explanation of Garfield intersecting with 17th Avenue.

Not a single warning sign or neighborhood bikeway branding sign is visible on the eastbound side of 17th approaching Garfield.

Please reference the City of Denver's Bikeway Design Manual.

This page seems most applicable in this specific location.

However, the Bikeway Wayfinding Guidelines likely needs to be updated or at least supplemented.

I don't see any examples of Bikeway Branding sign installations with intersections of Arterial roadways. 

I think an evaluation of the guidelines will result in different installation practices that will help make the bikeways more visible to drivers & therefore ideally change their driving behavior.
