Denver –  Denver’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure would like the public to be aware of upcoming maintenance work that will be occurring on the Union Pacific Railroad tracks on Havana Street north and south of East 51st Avenue.

Week of May 18 – 22

Work will occur on the railroad tracks on Havana Street north of E. 51st Avenue, requiring a closure of Havana St. between 51st and 56th avenues. 51st and 56th avenues will remain open to east/west travel.

Week of June 1 - 5

Work will occur on the railroad tracks on Havana Street south of E. 51st Avenue, requiring a full closure of Havana St. from 49th to 51st avenues. 47th and 51st avenues will remain open to east/west travel.

In both cases, detour signs will route people to Central Park Boulevard for north/south travel.

The closures both weeks are expected to start at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday and end at approximately noon on Friday.

The work that will occur includes removing and replacing the tracks, installing a new crossing surface, and repaving the approaches.
