Hello RTD Board Members,

If you've been on Reddit, then you're likely aware that I've been harping on making ALL transit FREE at the time of boarding in the Denver Metro Area.
The idea is to both make it EQUITABLE and more RELIABLE by eliminating the need to collect fares at the time of boarding.

Well, I'd like to start putting a proposal together.
RTD Equitable Transit Initiative

Questions that we'll need to answer...
- What has been the annual revenue collected from fares over the last three years?
- Can we break it down, separating Eco passes purchased by businesses?
- What is RTD Spending to upgrade the fare collection equipment & how much does RTD spend annually on repairs to kiosks & tap-to-pay machines?

I'm confident that we can significantly increase revenue to RTD, while at the same time making it WAY more equitable by only adding a small property tax-based fee to all households in the RTD service area.
