Hello,
I commuted my bike to a store along South Santa Fe on Tuesday. This primarily took me along the South Platte River Trail.
Why are there ZERO Porta potties available?
This not only is a disservice to anybody using the trails, but I strongly believe that creates more problems. In the absence of restrooms, people will urinate or defecate al the trails, which will pollute the Cherry Creek and the South Platte River.
I'm asking for the Mayor's Office in Denver City Council to address this issue with Jolon Clark. Equally problematic is the lack of restrooms in many of our Parks.
I biked with my dogs on Monday to the Lowry off leash Dog Park. We couldn't stay that long because there wasn't a single restroom available that I could see in the area.
What metric is Denver Parks and Rec using to determine the restroom availability, or lack thereof in our local and regional parks?
I personally won't be returning until I know that there's a few restrooms available.
I understand that cell phone data is used, but the lack of restrooms is going to reduce the number of people in these parks during this time of year.
I would be more likely to bike 9 miles to Berkeley since I know that there's a rec center there with restrooms at that dog park.
Can someone please address this issue with Jolon Clark and require a minimum standard of restrooms to be available all year long?
Thank you in advance for addressing this ongoing issue.
Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson
