Looks like the Larimer Shared-Street may be official, once they build the necessary infrastructure on Walnut, but at what cost?
These sidewalks would have been paid for by a future developer instead of our City Budget.

Also doubt now that we'll ever get protected bike lanes on Larimer or a bikeway on Walnut meaning we'll never have a safe connection from the Market St Protected Bikelane, which is a shame.

Everything is a trade off.

I just disagree that closing Larimer to thru-traffic is worth it.

Oh, well, at least I know I can drop it now.

Thanks anyway.

Hello Bryan,

RTD is already coordinating with Denver DOTI on this project. We have an agreement that when Larimer St is converted into a shared street, the ART buses will be rerouted onto Walnut and all appropriate infrastructure will be constructed on Walnut with the shared street project. ADA compliant bus stops will be in place on Walnut before the ART is rerouted to Walnut.

Thank you,

Hi Bryan,

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on our current services. The RTD Service Development Division monitors our routes on an ongoing basis and makes changes to our schedules three times per year. These changes are based on ridership and passenger feedback, among other considerations. Suggestions regarding RTD service, frequency, or routing may be sent directly to our Service Planning team using the comment form found at https://www.rtd-denver.com/service-development

Thanks again,

RTD Customer Care
